About Sara (They/Them)

Sara Campos (They/Them) is a marketer, digital engagement coordinator, skate advocate, dreamer, leader, and lifelong learner. Based in Portland, OR, Sara has been actively involved in building vibrant communities by using all-wheeled skating as the vehicle for change.

With over four years of experience in marketing, social media management, community organizing, communications, and public relations, they bring unique perspectives and lived experiences to the way they develop stories for branding and messaging.

On a personal and professional level, Sara values empathy, emotional intelligence, honesty, ethical leadership, mentorship, a growth mindset, innovation, and trust. When it comes to working with community partners and individuals, they are intentional and passionate about partnering with people whose values and beliefs align with their identity and experience.

Sara is a natural leader who uses their professional knowledge, community outreach skills, and cultural experiences to achieve success. They are actively working towards building social equity in professional and community spaces.

If you ask Sara what they are proud of, they’ll initially be unsure, but ultimately, they have a lot! They are incredibly proud of their skate nonprofit and QSP team, who help them keep it running. Sara is very proud of their skate advocacy work and the community they serve for their ability to come together. Sara is proud of their hard work, community organizing and education, fiancée, family, and friends. If you tune into a conversation with Sara, you’ll often hear them talk about skating. However, when they’re not skating or working with the Steel Bridge Skatepark Coalition to get new skateparks built, you can find Sara working on reigniting their passion for creative arts like rug tufting, leather working, journaling, digital art, and poetry.
